Aside from a rather well-presented folding white card sleeve for the album, there is honestly very little to recommend about this particular piece. It is glam indie pop without much of an idea how to conduct itself. It also has a deeply irritating vocalist, who sounds like the already deeply irritating Anthony from And The Johnsons. Mercifully though, it doesn’t feature Anthony’s music.

As ever, the inherent problem of a small band largely untroubled by label interest rears its head; they were signed by an obscure label because they aren’t very good. They aren’t objectionably bad, and they aren’t torrid mediocrity either, which is the more usual problem with a band like this. What they lack, though, is anything particularly captivating.

Anyway, for those what care, it’s post-punk of the non doom-laden kind, more Orange Juice cheer than Joy Division gloom, to be highly inexact, and with the ability of neither. It’s built out of atrophied stop-start rhythms, with reedy guitars and thin-sounding drums.

It’s not that they haven’t tried, it’s just that some things aren’t really meant to be.

i agree completley...utter shite!!! haha :) no not really you psycho...i'm eating a sandwich which is why i can't use capitals :) By the way....how can you call the vocalist irritating? Maybe the vocal...the the guy himself? Defamation of character!!! Boo!!! Xx
