Jacob Golden podcast
Jon Fletcher
Originally hailing from Oregon, bewitching singer-songwriter Jacob Golden has returned to his spiritual homeland to peddle his latest single, 'Out Come The Wolves'. We sat him down and asked him some questions
"If I can arrange it I'll go and play at someone's house and they'll have all their mates over. Those are usually my favourite gigs"
All photos Spencer Cartwright. Not a lot of people have heard of Jacob Golden, which is an almighty shame. His album 'Revenge Songs' was released in the UK last year to widespread critical acclaim (from the likes of The Times, rather than some heady endorsement from TV Quick) but never really grabbed the public's attention amidst all the new rave furore. Now the improbably named Golden has returned to the country he called home for several years to promote his latest single. New Noise took the opportunity to corner him in a Hoxton photography studio and quiz him on what makes Britain so great, what makes a good live show and playing in your fans' living rooms.
Single 'Out Come The Wolves' is released on 3 March.
