ROUND OUR GAFF is a new monthly Saturday nighter at The Enterprise in Camden. Sick of the same old "leftfield" clubs on offer, the promoters - Katie Dunne (Domino Records/Camden Crawl 2007 Event Manager), Leslie Gilotti (media maestro to The Horrors, The Enemy, Reverend and the Makers) and Heledd Williams (events promoter/fashion guru) - set out to create a vibe akin to a house party set in the run down grandeur of the room at the top of the cozy old boozer's narrow stairs.

Expect up-n-coming and in some cases, already-there, artists taking to the stage and the decks for un-pretentious fun (or as LeCool put it, "sometimes you just want to drink yourself dumb and dance around to great tunes without fear of being co-opted into a transvestite's stage show").

November's RoG had the floor shaking when John Hassall's (The Libertines) Yeti rocked the stage, followed by The Rakes spinning a jump-up mix of rock, electro and 80s kitsch favourites. Previous guests also included City Rockers' indie gossip pages darlings Paris Trading, and The Ghost Frequency.

ROUND OUR GAFF #3 is on Saturday February 16th. Arrive early cos last time the place was full up before 9pm!

We were advised to hide all the breakables when we booked this apocalyptic London four-piece. They literally kill it live. They're being tipped by all the cooler media, but Drowned in Sound probably nabbed it best when they described the Dead Kids experience as "PiL fronted by Bad Brains legendry HR, or Suicide minus the white-boy rigidity... a panic attack of sound, a squall of feedback, a slow tightening of a fist around the throat." You have been warned.

All-girl glamrock enthusiasts described by Time Out as "The Shangri-Las meets Slayer" crank the amps to earsplitting proportions for juddering synth-punk tunes with inspired titles such as "Iron Nipples" and "This is a Bust".

After the live carnage, FF take time out from the Vice tour and take to the RoG decks to provide a post-punk soundtrack until chucking-out time.
