Lounge on the Farm returns this year to Merton Farm, Canterbury. One of several home-grown festivals trying to attract bigger acts to their billings, Lounge on the Farm sets out its stall on an eclectic range of artists and, perhaps more distinctively, locally produced food and drink.
Unbranded, the festival was only launched in 2006 with a mix of local bands. This year's headliners The Coral mark their rise into the major league of boutique events; they'll be joined by the likes of Black Kids, Art Brut, Semi finalist, Polar Bear and Midfield Generals.
If you fancy taking a punt on a relative newbie, like your cider home grown and fancy the idea of listening to bands in a cow shed (the normal residents are evicted to make room for the main festival stage, Lounge on the Farm could be worth a bash.
