The last true bastions of shredding display their teeth on tour DVD

"This DVD displays the stunning live prowess of the band, but most of all it displays their humour, their humanity, their honesty and most of all, their sheer talent, cos boy can those guys shred for America. With live footage, backstage footage, promo work and some damn right filth thrown in for good measure, you’d be a jessy for not loving this vulgar display of metal!"

Lamb Of God have survived their major label ordeal. Rejoice! After many an industry insider wondered just what the “machine” would leave of the band, whilst spitting their nibbled corpse out at the end of their contract, the band happily just got on with the business of being one hell of a metal band.

They released ‘Sacrament’, an astonishing album, fiercely potent and stunningly played, and then returned to the life of the scurvy-riddled tour dog, which serves them so well. Then the typical stories of lack of promotional funds from the major label coffers started to leak out, and with that the magic moment was gone. Sure, major labels have bought risky, overly extreme bands before and failed in trying to get the financial return they initially dreamed up during a white powdered blizzard backstage, but Lamb Of God’s dynasty has grown and grown for so long, it seemed sacrilegious to pull the plug so early on. But so is life…

Having been a part of Ozzfest, Slayer’s Unholy Alliance tour, Download, as well as headlining their own US & European tours, the drawing power of Lamb Of God was never in doubt, but when swimming with the nu-grunge posers and emo-straddling cry babies that make up most major US label rosters these days, you’d be forgiven for thinking that their major label sojourn was a failure, but at the end of it all, the band are bigger than they were, and not vastly different.
